Dear Club Members,
Further the Government Announcements we are delighted to confirm that organised outdoor football can start again from March 29th.
The Government and FA have issued clear guidelines that we will all need to follow to ensure that football can be played as safely as possible. As you can imagine there is a lot of detail but in the circumstances we wanted to share the following
key information.
1. Training Starts
Monday 29th March – U13 Boys
Friday 2nd April – U10 to U12 Boys & Girls and U13 Girls (Arena for one week only. Back at the Xcel from 9th April)
Saturday 3rd April – U7 to U9

Starts on Saturday 3rd April
3. League Football
Epsom and Ewell League football will start on 3rd April but for the majority of teams the earliest return for League Football is 11th April. We will share details of these fixtures as soon as they are received. We can expect to play more local teams so as to avoid travelling.
4. Spectators
Spectators are limited to one parent or carer per child and should socially distance at all times. Please do not congregate at collection or drop off.
5. Facilities until further notice
Changing facilities and the clubhouse will remain closed.
Toilets will be allowed to be open for 30 minutes before and after training and matches and will be cleaned regularly. When waiting to use the facilities please make sure you continue to socially distance and sanitize.
No food and drink will be offered on site.
6. Club Protocols will continue
a) Everyone entering the grounds must TEST & TRACE using QR Technology and SANITIZE.
You must not enter the ground without scanning and sanitizing. Please keep your distance as you wait to enter the ground.
b) Each of our managers have been given TEAM SAFETY PACKS – wipes, gloves, masks and sanitizer which players will be asked to use.
c) PLAYERS will be asked to sanitize, avoid spitting, avoid celebrations, avoid touching equipment and not share drinks or shake hands.
d) Please SOCIAL DISTANCE. Parents, spectators and carers are limited to one per player. Please make sure you keep your distance when watching the football.
It goes without saying that everyone should self assess for COVID-19 symptoms before every training session or match. If there is a possibility of infection you must not participate or attend training or matches and should follow government guidelines.
Please be aware that above guidelines apply to Walton & Hersham Youth FC. When playing away fixtures other clubs may have have slightly different procedures and restrictions that we will all have to respect.
We’ll continue to you keep you fully up to speed with developments as we get them.
Thanks for your support. Stay safe. We look forward to seeing you all next week!
